Mugello is a green land positioned close to the magnificent city of Florence.
The Bilancino lake offer all kind of attractions if you wish to burn energy (windsurfing, canoing and trekking) or to relax effortlessly in the backdrop of a verdant nature embellished with woods and rivers. In the evening the lakeside becomes a vibrant area hosting chill-out and wine bars.

The Medici family, originally from Mugello, chosen this land to build summer and leisure residences: such castello di Cafaggiolo and castello del Trebbio (Michelozzo, XIV sec.). The famous medieval painters Giotto and Beato Angelico were born in Vicchio of Mugello.
